I love quotes. The right one can elevate your mood, make a point or just speak to how you are feeling in a much more eloquent way than you are able to yourself. This quote from Marilyn Monroe made me smile. I need my alone time. Being alone definitely restores me. I feel better, I am more creative and after a little alone time I can deal with most of what life throws at me... usually.
My work schedule now gives me some time alone every other month as I travel to Las Vegas to give presentations on our program. Until this month I had only ever been on The Strip in Las Vegas. However on this trip I was able to venture out into the surrounding areas and I have to admit that Las Vegas is quite the beautiful city. Lovely mountains surround the area and the farther out I went, the more beautiful it was.
Peaceful and serene were not words I had ever used when describing Las Vegas but now they are. I look forward to my time there in April. Of course my next trip will be busier since I have a better idea of what I want to achieve but I will still have some much needed time alone to re-charge and rest.
Next time I will take some pictures to share. Promise!!
